This position is responsible to provide technical training for the Technicians at all Transervice locations. This includes Standardized PM process training, Noregon J-Pro training, OEM training, ASE training and certification tracking, and various other technical and shop safety trainings.

Trainer Fleet Diesel TechniciansResponsibilities
  • Develop and implement a standardized PM inspection process across all divisions in the company.
  • Responsible for managing a yearly PM certification program for all company Technicians.
  • Create and manage an internal Train the Trainer network of assistant trainers.
  • Responsible for coordinating diagnostic training with our J-Pro partners.
  • Oversee OEM Vendor training opportunities.
  • Evaluate technician performance to gauge where training is needed.
  • Facilitate technician on boarding as it relates to technical and PM training.
  • Prepare learning materials for training programs.
  • Track training programs provided to the technicians.
  • Identify future training needs for updated technology and implicate new programs.
  • Lead the training transition for electric vehicles.

Trainer of Fleet Diesel Technicians Requirements
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as diesel mechanic instructor required
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Engines, Powertrains, Hydraulics, Electrical and Braking Systems
  • Experience with Noregon J-Pro diagnostic software.
  • Previous training experience Required.
  • Proficient communicator with all levels of employees and management in verbal and written form
  • Must be knowledgeable in OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail
  • Proficient as Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to manage and direct other trainers
  • Must be knowledgeable in DOT regulations
